The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) โ€“ MIMAROPA Region, through Regional Director Edna Imelda Fernandez-Legazpi, joined recent commencement exercises in Oriental Mindoro, highlighting the continuing growth of higher education institutions and expanding access to quality tertiary education in the province.

Director Fernandez-Legazpi served as keynote speaker during the 21st Commencement Exercises of Clarendon College on April 28, 2026 and the pioneer commencement exercises of Colegio de Naujan on April 29, 2026.

The ceremonies reflected the evolving higher education landscape in Oriental Mindoro, with institutions continuing to strengthen academic programs and widen educational opportunities for learners in local communities.

In her messages, Director Fernandez-Legazpi underscored the role of higher education institutions in developing resilient, values-driven, and community-oriented graduates who can contribute meaningfully to regional and national development.

At Clarendon College, the Regional Director recognized the institutionโ€™s continuing growth and contribution to higher education in the MIMAROPA region.

Meanwhile, the graduation of the pioneer batch of Colegio de Naujan marked a significant milestone in the municipalityโ€™s continuing efforts to expand access to free and quality tertiary education in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.

CHED MIMAROPA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting higher education institutions across the region in advancing accessible, relevant, and quality education responsive to the needs of MIMAROPA communities.
