The CHED MIMAROPA spearheaded the launching of the Regional HEIs Network for Unified Drug Prevention Programs in the MIMAROPA Region at Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel, Puerto Princesa, Palawan. The ceremony was graced by Dangerous Drug Board (DDB), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – MIMAROPA, Philippine National Police – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) – MIMAROPA, in cooperation with the Higher Education Institutions in the region.
The event includes the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by the HEI presidents or authorized representatives which embodied the agreement and terms of reference of the establishment of the HEI network/committee to formalize the commitment of MIMAROPA HEIs to implement plans and programs for drug free-campus in consonance with the Philippine Anti-illegal Drugs Strategy.
