CHED and UniFAST MIMAROPA Celebrate Success at the 2024 MIMAROPA Regional Student TES Congress

The 2024 MIMAROPA Regional Student TES Congress was held on September 5-7, 2024, at Marinduque State University in Boac, Marinduque, marking another significant achievement for CHED and UniFAST MIMAROPA. The event commenced with an inspiring opening by UniFAST OIC-Executive Director Atty. Ryan L. Estevez, attended by officials from MIMAROPA Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), personnel, and student beneficiaries under Republic Act 10931, particularly the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) program.
This year, CHED-UniFAST MIMAROPA set a new standard with the launch of the first-ever theme song for the TES Congress, dedicated to the Commission’s EduKampeon, Chairman Popoy De Vera III, and to all RA 10931 beneficiaries. Participants joyfully engaged with the theme song “Padyak, Ahon,” dancing to its uplifting rhythm.
In addition to the musical festivities, a Basic Media Production Training and Workshop was organized, covering topics such as filmmaking, photography, and videography. Students also participated in exciting competitions, including the MIMAROPAlikula Short Film Contest and a Battle of the Bands.
Looking ahead, CHED-UniFAST MIMAROPA is committed to creating more programs and activities that empower students, boosting their confidence and providing opportunities to showcase their talents and skills.
