With the conversion of Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC) into a state university, all State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the MIMAROPA Region now proudly carry university status—a testament to years of dedication, perseverance, and commitment to academic excellence.
This achievement reflects the relentless efforts of our SUCs to strengthen instruction, research, extension, governance, infrastructure, and institutional quality in pursuit of the standards required for universityhood. Behind every milestone are years of hard work, strategic planning, and unwavering determination by university leaders, faculty, staff, students, alumni, local government partners, and stakeholders.
For CHED MIMAROPA, this moment is especially meaningful. We celebrate not only the success of our SUCs but also the shared journey we have taken together. Through policy guidance, technical assistance, quality assurance, capacity-building initiatives, monitoring, and continuous engagement, CHED MIMAROPA has proudly stood alongside our institutions as a partner, supporter, and enabler in their pursuit of growth and transformation. We have witnessed firsthand their determination to meet the rigorous standards of universityhood and their unwavering commitment to providing quality higher education to the people of MIMAROPA.
