Highlights of the 2022 MIMAROPA Localized Student TES Congress

The Commission on Higher Education UniFAST MIMAROPA conducted a 2022 MIMAROPA Localized Student TES Congress Featuring: #TESayawitngKabataan2022 “Tugtugan, Edukasyon at Sayawan” with the theme: “Itanghal, Husay at Galing ng Kabataang MIMAROPA, Inspirasyon ng susunod na Henerasyon” hosted by John Paul College last November 11, 2022.
The celebration commenced with welcome remarks from the president of John Paul College, Dr. Rosalina Andaya, followed by a TES Congress Message from the CHED Regional Director Atty. Joselito C. Alisuag.

This was followed by Leadership Training with the theme “Redefining Leadership” and Career Guidance Training with the theme “Your Career Development Cycle” by Dr. Mark Anthony Latoja who served as the resource speaker during the training. Thereafter, the Contemporary Dance Contest kicked off the competition declaring John Paul College’s entrants Mr. Samnehvid John C. Bello and Ms. Abby D. Elpedes as grand winners, and the first place was awarded to Prince of Peace College’s entrants Mr. Mhike Methesuel Tadle and Ms. Dianna Espares. Following that, participants were also enlivened as the most awaited performances from the TES Focals for Focal Showdown Season 2 commenced where John Paul College’s TES Focal Mr. Rommel M. Madrona was declared as the grand winner, and first place was awarded to Prince of Peace College Focals Ms. Maria Bisa, Mr. Salvador Tizon, Ms. Dianne Magbuhos, Ms. Andrea Sandoval, and Ms. Cassius Justianano.

Breath-taking performances were one of the most awaited acts of the celebration when the Battle of the Band begins that makes the crowd go wild making the EMA EMITS College Philippines “Naranja” band the grand winner, while City Colleges of Calapan’s “Banda ni Kali” proclaimed as the first runner up in the competition. On top of that, Mindoro Vice Governor Ejay Falcon delighted the crowd by visiting John Paul College to give his TES Congress inspirational message to the students and participants of the celebration.

Lastly, The CHED UniFAST MIMAROPA, headed by Regional Director Atty. Joselito Alisuag, would like to thank John Paul College for hosting the magnificent and successful localized TES Congress. This event will not be possible without the support and cooperation of the JPC Officials and Staff, also the students and officials from Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) from the region who participated and attended the celebration.
