CHED MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Regional Director Professor Edna Imelda F. Legazpi, successfully convened HEIs in the region for the Navigating Challenges: CHED-UniFAST MIMAROPA and HEI Officials’ Conference on Strengthening Collaboration at Mindoro State University – Calapan Campus.
During the conference, CHED MIMAROPA officials discussed key updates and policies, including CHED directives, reportorial requirements, local off-campus activities, internship policies, and the Philippine Qualification Registry. These discussions were aimed to enhance collaboration and coordination among institutions and ensure compliance with national higher education standards.
A key highlight of the event was the open forum, where participants actively engaged in meaningful exchanges, raising important concerns and insights. The dialogue fostered stronger collaboration among HEIs and reinforced their collective commitment to improving the quality of higher education in MIMAROPA.
With continuous cooperation and shared efforts, the region moves forward in building a more responsive and innovative higher education sector.
