CHED-UniFAST MIMAROPA launched the first ever TES Congress Theme Song dedicated to the good Chairman of the Commission and the Student Beneficiaries of the region under the programs of RA 10931 during the opening ceremony of the 2024 MIMAROPA regional Student TES Congress held at the Marinduque State University-Boac, Marinduque last Sept. 5, 2024. “Padyak Ahon”, is the title of the song that tells the story of every Filipino Student who has dreams of acquiring quality higher education that will enable them and their families have a better future. But through RA 10931, Education for every Filipino student was made possible.
These dreams will not be in reality without the help and dedication of our Champion in Higher Education. Chair Popoy our “EduKampeon” goes to every institution and province to meet and converse with the beneficiaries and their families. He listens and receives inspiration from the stories of the beneficiaries as a way to better understand the needs of the stakeholders. Chair Popoy utilizes biking and padyak to send a strong message of perserverance and determination mirroring the struggles and accomplishments of our students and higher education in general. Chair Popoy always reminds us that by there is nowhere to go but forward in our quest for a free and quality higher education. His leadership is a testament of a strong foundation for a brighter quality education for every Filipino.
Through this song, the CHED-UniFAST MIMAROPA is inspired to do more, work smarter, and strive for the best in championing quality higher education. Prof Popoy De Vera
