Newly formed Region MIMAROPA League of Tertiary School Sports Directors elected its first set of officers last July 8, 2022 via Zoom. CHED Regional Office MIMAROPA hosted the virtual election in the hope that this will start a new beginning, and it’s up to those who are elected to take a stand in helping the Commission for the improvement and progress of Tertiary Sports in the Region. Atty. Joselito C. Alisuag, Regional Director, welcomed the sports directors and coordinators who attended the Zoom meeting and emphasized the importance of the activity.
Most of the Sports Director/Coordinators of different Higher Education Institutions in MIMAROPA are well versed in their field and shows integrity in all forms. Mr. John Michael Vergara, Regional Sports Coordinator, facilitated the election for the League. It was a productive and exciting day as the election was a resounding success.

Engr. Edgar C. Cepe, the Chief Program Specialist of CHEDRO MIMAROPA, headed the Oath of Office of the newly elected officers. The newly elected officers were happy to take on the responsibilities that were bestowed upon them and promised to fulfil the different tasks needed for the growth and development of Tertiary Sports.
It was an excellent opportunity for everyone to part-take in this momentous event. With the help of the newly elected officers, we will strive to develop a world-class student-athlete through the Tertiary Sports Development of CHED. The program was closed by Engr. Victor P. Conanan, Education Supervisor II/ Supervisor oversight of CHED MIMAROPA Sports Development and reminded the newly elected officers to have hands-on, productive, and task-oriented actions to pursue the purpose of elevating Tertiary Sports in MIMAROPA.
